Only 300 Yen for all the door switches

The door lock/unlock actuator for the passenger’s side door was fixed by me
the other day and it has been working perfectly. As I check it fast and repeatedly,
the top cover of the switch has come off. It is broken as is shown below. The
plastic was already cracked before and it finally was completely broken.

I needed to replace the switch and I was about to order it. I happened to visit a
local parts shop called the UpGarage and I found all the door switches were
sold for 300 Yen including wood panels.

It’s only 300 yen. How lucky I am finding them and buying them for a cost of the
morning service at the coffee shop Lattino which I have introduced you before!
My Celsior has aged and I also had some minor problems at other switches.
Especially, the power window switch at the drivers seat side tends to fail when
pushed and pulled quickly. Now I can fix all of them using these.

There’s a hose next to switches. I will be using it soon for the Honda Life. Today,
I will be not writing how I will use it but I will be showing you the detail sometime
soon.

I paid 600 yen for that hose. It is twice more expensive than the switches. Why
the switches were so inexpensive? I don’t think there would be many people
who buy the switches any more since Celsiors UCF20/21 are disappearing in
the market in Japan after 11 years of the discontinuation.

The maintenance costs are becoming too expensive that people are not
afforded to keep them. A person like me can be OK. In the past I had been
keeping two good old German cars named Po???? in Japan and in USA.
I am not a rich but I can fix almost everything except human beings.
That makes it possible to keep a good old car and I enjoy it.
