Making a SST for Daihatsu Move LS900

I have needed to replace a timing belt for Daihatsu Move LS900 owned by my family member.
The biggest problem to me was that I didn't have any special equipments nor tools for that
except simple tools which average Americans own. I only had some interest to do it. My
curiosity was bigger than the risk to do it myself. That was why I made a SST which
prevents the flywheel to rotate when the pulley bolt at the crank shaft is removed. So this
is what I made.

I found an aluminum plate of 6063S in my junk box. The material 6063S is harder than pure
aluminum but is not as strong as the material of the flywheel. I didn't want to damage it
and my selection would be OK for the purpose.

I inserted a small sheet of paper into the service hole of the Engine with my fingers to get
the shape and the size. Below is the shape and the depth I got adding lines to the paper. イメージ 2
My freehand writing is awful but this much of roughness does not cause any big problem,
I know.

This is the way how the SST is used inserting to the service hole and grab the teeth.
So much for SST and I will write more about the change of the timing belt later.
